The NAKOSS National Convention has been re-scheduled to hold on Saturday the

National Association of  Kogi State Students has called on
Governor  Audu to approve the establishment of the faculties of Medicine
and Engineering at the Prince Abubakar Adudu University Ayangba. The National
President of the Association, Mr Olajide Itiafa who lead the student on a
courtsey call on the Governor said that if established, those Faculties will
absorb potential doctors and Engineers of Kogi state origin.

    The asoociation also demanded that the Governor approve
a reduction in tution fees at the university particularly for indegent students,
he also read out other demands including prompt payment and upward review of
bursary allowances to Kogi state students, a national secretariat building for
the association in Lokoja, a functional vehicle to run the secretariat and
financial subventions to the secretariat.

    In his response, Prince Audu said that the Government
will look into genuine demend when the financial position of the state improves.
